Carl Collison To All Instructors

Carl Collison is a Las Vegas based drummer/percussionist. Collison is well versed in many styles such as rock, hip-hop, R&B, country, funk, jazz, latin jazz, corps style percussion, marching percussion, and orchestral percussion. Collison’s experience as an educator includes teaching private lessons, group lessons in marching/pit percussion and orchestral percussion. Collison holds a Masters of Music degree (jazz performance) from, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, A Bachelor of Music (percussion performance) from the University of South Dakota, and an Associate of Arts degree (drumset/commercial music) from Musicians Institute, Hollywood CA. Currently, Carl is performing full time with Las Vegas’ premier dance/party band: Velvet Elvis. With styles ranging from rap, rock, R&B, soul, and current top 40 dance music. Velvet Elvis performs nightly at The Fremont Street Experience as well as other Las Vegas properties such as: New York, New York, Paris Resort, M Resort, Excalibur, Stations Casinos, Mandalay Bay as well as corporate and private events. Outside of the Continental United States, he has also performed throughout Europe and Australia. Carl also currently performs with Las Vegas acts such as: Elise Victoria Band, Live Music Society, Chadwick Johnson, LV Retro Vibes, Moonshiners, The Joy Trio among others. He has also performed in Las Vegas production shows: The Rat Pack is Back!, The Bronx Wanderers, Zombie Burlesque, Vegas! The Show, Legends in Concert, All Shook Up! A Tribute to the King, and Country Superstars in Concert. Outside of music, Carl enjoys spending his time his wife Jessica and twin boy and girl, Quinn and Wesley.
